JONATHON
D.A. BAKER
Jonathons
practice is focused on business-related disputes,
extending from arbitration and mediation to
trial and appellate advocacy and providing general
counsel to corporate and individual clients.
He has extensive experience with banking, bills
of exchange, bankruptcy and insolvency, commercial
leasing, construction, defamation, employment,
franchising, fraud, partnership and shareholder
disputes, real and personal property, sale of
goods, including crossborder and international
matters.
Jonathon
was called to the Bar in 1995. He has been conferred
Master of Laws degrees from the Europa Institute
of the University of Edinburgh (1993
Magna cum Laude - economic and commercial law
of the European Union) and Osgoode Hall Law
School (2005 banking and financial services).
He is also a graduate of the joint Bachelor
of Laws and Master of Business Administration
programme of Osgoode Hall Law School and the
Schulich School of Business in 1992.
Jonathon
is a member of The Canadian Bar Association,
The Advocates Society and Metropolitan
Toronto Lawyers Association.
Proud
of his Scots heritage, Jonathon has been known
to wear his kilt to the office from time to
time and perennially leads his hockey team in
penalty minutes.
